{"id":1320,"date":"2016-12-20T09:28:14","date_gmt":"2016-12-20T14:28:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.youneedchiro.com\/blog\/?p=1320"},"modified":"2016-12-20T09:38:39","modified_gmt":"2016-12-20T14:38:39","slug":"nuts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.youneedchiro.com\/blog\/2016\/12\/20\/nuts\/","title":{"rendered":"Nuts!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On December 5<sup>th<\/sup>, Hayley Dunning, of the Communications and Public Affairs Office at The Imperial College London, reported these stunning new research findings: \u201cA handful of nuts a day cuts the risk of a wide range of diseases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Citing a newly published study led by researchers from <em>Imperial College London and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology<\/em>, Dunning\u2019s report summed up the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1323\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youneedchiro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/nuts-300x247.jpg\" alt=\"nuts\" width=\"300\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.youneedchiro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/nuts-300x247.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.youneedchiro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/nuts-768x634.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.youneedchiro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/nuts-1024x845.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.youneedchiro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/nuts.jpg 1268w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>study, \u201cthe analysis of all current studies on nut consumption and disease risk has revealed that 20g a day &#8211; equivalent to a handful &#8211; can cut people\u2019s risk of coronary heart disease by nearly 30 percent, their risk of cancer by 15 percent, and their risk of premature death by 22 percent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The research, just published in the prestigious journal, <em>BMC Medicine<\/em> seems to scientifically confirm what \u201chealth nuts\u201d have been saying for years.
