The report explains what their spinal analysis revealed, as well as the objective of care in our practice.
Most people that are new come in with certain expectations about chiropractic – they usually think that our goal is to take away their pain. The interesting thing, that usually surprises them, is when we say that we will not do anything to cover up pain or treat any other conditions. Instead, we try to interest people in the real benefit of chiropractic care, reducing interference in the body’s nerve system. Precise chiropractic spinal analysis and adjustments correct spinal subluxations freeing up the body to do what it is already trying to do. We don’t put anything into the body or take anything out. Getting rid of interference is really that simple, but it makes a huge difference. Given a chance, it is amazing what the body is able to do.
One of the questions often asked when we do these reports for new people is this: “What if someone is sick, do you treat their illness with an adjustment?” The answer is always the same, “Chiropractic is what we do to function better. It is not a treatment for sickness, but people who are sick still deserve a good nerve supply.” Said in other words, “Who needs a good nerve supply more than a sick person?” That’s why everyone should be able to live their life as free of vertebral subluxation as possible.
Recently a Winthrop University student majoring in Health Care Management came under care here. She wanted to experience chiropractic and was happy to see her health improve and her overall performance in life enhanced after receiving a specific upper cervical adjustment. What really surprised her though was that her multiple sclerosis symptoms cleared up after beginning to receive precise chiropractic adjustments. Nothing was done to treat the MS – it simply illustrates that all people deserve to have their spines checked for subluxation and if they have a subluxation, then they deserve a precise adjustment – nothing less.
